Works That Work magazine documents that design is not the exclusive domain of artists or designers, but something that surrounds us in our daily lives, something so embedded in our everyday experience that it often escapes our attention. This issue of Works That Work looks at inventions as deceptively simple as the shipping container and as staggeringly complex as an intercontinental aircraft, technologies that are closing the gaps between continents and cultures at an ever-increasing rate. We also look at how globalisation works in the developing world, at how ideas and products can make an unexpected impact on people just around the corner and all around the world.
