Typotheque

Licensing Options

When buying Typotheque fonts online, you can choose between three basic licence types: the Print & Web Licence for installable desktop fonts and webfonts, the Web Licence only, or the Web Trial Licence. When you buy a Print & Web Licence you receive installable font files and access to our webfont service, which generates the CSS code that lets you use the fonts on the Web. When you buy a Web Licence you won’t receive installable fonts, only access to the webfont service. The Trial Web Licence is a 30-day free webfont evaluation licence. For other licensing options such as the Self-Hosting Webfont Licence, Broadcasting or Product Embedding Licence, please contact us.

When you ‘buy’ fonts, you are actually buying rights to use the font software. After the purchase, you automatically acquire a single-user licence. As with any other software, fonts are licensed on a per-user basis, so if more than one user needs to work with the fonts, you need to buy a multiple-user licence. But unlike most software licences, our font licence can be extended to include additional users at a fraction of the cost of another single-user licence.

There are various licensing options which cover use in different media:

Print

Web

PDF

Embedding
