Fermín Guerrero is a Graphic and Type designer born in Uruguay. In 2010, after he finished his bachelor in Industrial Design in Uruguay, he moved to Switzerland to study Visual Communication at the Haute École d’Art et de Design (HEAD), Geneva, where he received his BA with first class honours. He subsequently went on to complete a Masters in Typeface Design at the University of Reading, UK, receiving his MA with Distinction in September 2015. He is currently working as a freelancer out Uruguay on all kind of projects for adventurous clients around the globe.

This article describes the process of designing Thesaurus typeface, based on the types that Robert Estienne brought from Paris to Geneva, and in some way, serve as a bridge between France and Switzerland, between Catholicism and Protestantism, and now, through Thesaurus, between past and present.
