World's first Augmented Reality (AR) stamp
Dutch design agency Gummo designed a new series of post stamps for the TNT Post (now Post NL) on the given theme of not yet realised architecture in the Netherlands, creating the world's first Augmented Reality (AR) stamp.
Dutch design agency Gummo was awarded a prestigious commission to design a new series of postage stamps for the TNT Post (now Post NL). Gummo made the most of the specified theme of not-yet-realised architecture in the Netherlands, and created the world's first Augmented Reality (AR) stamp.

The AR stamp brings another dimension to the two dimensional stamp, and brings the five not-yet-constructed buildings to life. Each of the twelvel stamps contains an AR tracking code which when held in front of a webcam (when visiting the toekomstinbeweging.nl website) will trigger a 3D rendering of the buildings. The buildings were selected in cooperation with NAi, the Dutch Architectural Institute.
Typotheque is proud of its small contribution to the project — the stamps use our Fedra Sans typeface family.
