Design Concept
Thema Moderato is a display typeface with upright capitals and cursive lower-case for eye-catching headlines. It comes with two types of ascenders and descenders, both having the eloquence and finesse that can be appreciated distinctive at medium and larger text sizes.
OpenType features
Unlike other Typotheque fonts, Thema Moderato does not include Small Caps. Instead, Thema Moderato includes a wealth of other advanced OpenType features, discretionary ligatures and swashes. For more information please see the PDF instructions, or the Features section.
Numerals
All weights of Thema Moderato include four different kinds of numerals. Proportional Old-style figures come as default figures in Thema. It also, however, includes Lining figures, Tabular numerals (both lining and OsF), selectable via OpenType features.
Versions
Thema type family comes in a bracketed hairline Serif Text version, a cursive style with variable extenders called Moderato for headline purposes, and a display Moderato Stencil for elegant titles. Separately Typonine Stencil is a closely related typeface that can be used with Thema. Combined, they offer complete typographic palette for the most demanding designers.
