Can I buy fonts for my client?
Yes, you can buy fonts on behalf of your client, by specifying the client’s details on the order page. The client will need to agree to the terms of the font licence.
Can I change the invoicing details after placing the order?
If you get in touch before we file our monthly taxes, we can change the invoicing details immediately.
Can I upgrade my font order?
You can upgrade your fonts, from a single style to a complete package, or from a single user to multiple users. In all cases, you will only pay the difference in price. Log in to your online account, go to My Orders, and click on the Upgrade button.
Can you create a quote before I order the fonts?
Absolutely, just go to the font order page, select the licence and fonts you need, and on the same page you can choose to Save your order or download a PDF of it.
Can you issue an invoice and I pay by bank transfer?
Yes, this is also our preferred way of payment. Just place your order online, select the licence and fonts you wish to purchase, and at the final step, choose to create an invoice. You will find our bank details there, but please use this method only when you have an order number.
Do you offer student discounts?
Yes, we offer an 80% educational discount for students, teachers, faculty, schools and educational institutions. Educational font licences can’t be ordered online, so please contact us directly.
I am having a problem placing my order; can you help?

I have a font download code; how do I use it?
If you have received a code for a free font download, you can redeem it directly online. You will need to create an account before downloading the fonts.
1/ Go to this page and register a new account (if you don’t have one already).
2/ After successful registration, go to ‘Corporate Fonts’ https://www.typotheque.com/my_account/corporate_fonts where you can enter your code.
3/ At the last step, you will be prompted to agree with the terms of the End User Licence, after which you can download the fonts.
I have a VAT number, and I don’t want to pay VAT tax.
If your company is registered in the European Union, and you have a valid VAT number, you can register the number, and then order products without any tax being applied. If your billing address is outside of the EU, we donʼt charge the VAT.
Please note that you have to do this before placing the order, as we canʼt return the VAT later. If you have any questions, please send us an email.
I just bought a font but I made a mistake; can you offer a refund?
All font orders are final, and refundable only if a font doesn’t work as expected. But do send us an email to see if we can help. Mistakes happen, we’ll look for a solution.
What do I receive when I buy a font?
To buy a font licence, you’ll need to register for a Typotheque online account. After placing a successful order, you can download the fonts that you ordered, as well as the invoice and the licence agreement. Those files will also always be available via your online account, and serve as your back-up.
Who needs to buy the font licence, the client or the designer?
Fonts fall into the category of software, which means that everyone who uses them needs to have a licence. If a designer is making a poster for a client, it is the designer (as user of the font), not the client, who needs to buy a font licence. If the client also wishes to use the fonts, they too will need to purchase their own licences.
