Hiragana


Hiragana is a Japanese phonetic system that represents every sound of the Japanese language, containing 46 basic Hiragana letters. Hiragana is used along with Kanji (Chinese logographic characters), and Katakana used for spelling out foreign words. Hiragana characters tend to be round and cursive.
