Kazuhiro Yamada is the founder of Nipponia, a Tokyo-based design studio. He holds a BA from Tama Art University where he studied visual communication design. After graduation, he worked as a book designer in the office of Yukimasa Matsuda, a well-known graphic designer in Japan. He was a senior type designer at Monotype from 2014 to 2017, designing Japanese typefaces. Since 2017, he works as an independent designer under the name Nipponia.
