Coding Fonts
While early monospaced fonts appeared on typewriters, today the fixed width, monospaced fonts are primarily used to write code, in command-line interfaces, with shapes optimised for lower resolution, and easy differentiation of characters. Examples of coding fonts from the Typotheque collection:
