Typotheque is a small company, and we intend to keep it like this. It is the only way we can maintain the focus on our projects, and sadly we don’t offer internships. Occasionally we look for help with less common writing scripts (for example Burmese, Tibetan, etc.). If you happen to work with marginalised writing scripts, do get in touch.

The price of a creating a new custom fonts depends on three main variables — how many styles need to be created, how large is the glyphs set, and what kind of licensing arrangement you are looking for. If you can tell us more, we can calculate indicative price

The glyph set depends on which languages you intend to support. If you can list a languages you need to cover, we can calculate which glyphs you the font requires.

Than it comes to licensing. If end-user doesn't need any exclusivity, than the license can be as cheap as 72 euro per font. This is the standard price of a non-exclusive font license. A more common scenario is that client requires some sort of exclusivity. It could be, for example for 3-4 years, as design identity tend to change, or it can be lifetime exclusivity.

Creating brand new fonts is rather time-consuming, and an economic alternative is to consult our exiting font catalogue, and identify a font that is close to what you need. We could modify an existing typeface for your needs, which can save up to 90% of the development costs. Or perhaps there is already a font that fits your needs as it is, and we can simply rename it for your brand, and offer a custom licensing arrangement.
