Michelangelo Nigra is a type designer born and raised in Turin, Italy. After his artistic diploma he began his degree in visual communication at the IAAD in Turin, where he developed a broad and lateral approach to design and visual communication. Upon graduating, he worked as a type designer at AlftaType, before joining the type design masters programme, Type & Media at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague. Since completing the Type & Media programme, Michelangelo has worked with several renowned studios and foundries, including Studio Mut, Studio Temp, Dinamo, and Typotheque.
