First 25 years
On September 22, Typotheque celebrated its 25th birthday with a retrospective exhibition and a party.
Some milestones are worth celebrating, and for us, the 25th anniversary of the company was one such moment. We took the opportunity to pause and reflect on this significant journey, delving into our archives to acknowledge the 146 individuals we’ve collaborated with over the years. As part of the event, we created a large-scale graphic timeline highlighting the most notable moments in the company’s history and displayed our entire font collection with striking wall graphics.
The event was well-attended, with around 200 guests joining us for the opening—some traveling from as far as Yerevan, Barcelona, Milan, and Tel Aviv. It was a wonderful social occasion to reconnect with friends and colleagues, sharing drinks and stories. The exhibition was followed by a party, and the next day, a series of lectures reflecting on the lessons learned throughout the years.
The weekend also coincided with 20 years of collaboration with dancer and choreographer Lukas Timulak. Together, Biľak and Timulak later founded Make Move Think, a foundation for cross-disciplinary collaborations. During the festive weekend, they presented video documentaries showcasing their work with modern dance companies worldwide.
