Type foundries are often involved not only creation of typefaces, but work also with technology. Typotheque has designed a number of unique tools for our website, and after asked by colleagues about availability of these tools, we decided to license some of them on <a href="http://www.type-applications.com" target="_blank">Type-Applications.com</a>.

We’ve just updated the website with the new API for the PDF Font Tester. This font tester allows users to create their own samples, controlling the text, position, size, leading, OpenType features and colour, and generate a PDF file with the font samples. To prevent this PDF from being misused, the type is rasterised at 300 dpi.
