Greta Grande Narrow

Design concept

Greta Grande Narrow is a collection of 8 display typefaces designed with extreme contrast between the thick and thin, tight spacing, and refined details, ideally suited for headlines and nameplates.

Greta Grande Pro supports extended Latin, Greek and Cyrillic. While in the upright version, all three scripts follow same construction principles, the extreme contrast of thick and thin proved to be a design challenge in the cursive versions. Greek cursive is not following the Latin model of contrast but looks at the examples of Greek manuscripts from the history. In many Greek letters is the contrast reversed, which helps to create a more authentic and very rhythmic Greek cursive. The result is a confident typeface, inspired by history, but useful today.
