Old-style Serif Fonts
The serifs of Old Style types are usually angled, with diagonal stroke contrast. Old Style serif fonts continue to be used for setting body text because of their excellent readability in small sizes. Some of the most admired typefaces of the genre were created by Nicolas Jenson (1420–1480), Francesco Griffo (1450–1518) and Claude Garamont (1510–1561).
